I work with individual adults and couples. Both unexpected changes in life and those which are part of the normal life-cycle can bring adults to psychotherapy. Sometimes the stresses that are caused by these changes are challenging, both for individual adults and for couples. In therapy, I have helped adults to:
Cope and/or heal from trauma
Explore life goals
Support life changes
Learn effective communication
Adolescence is a time of great change and it can be a difficult and confusing time for both parents and teens. It is a natural time of separation and “becoming an individual”. Having a therapist to talk with in a confidential setting can help an adolescent and assist them in developing self-reflection and skills that lead to greater self-esteem and self-efficacy.
Providing support and facilitation for groups is something I enjoy.
If your family or even a work group need relational support and processing, give me a call and let's explore how I can help.
My name is Julie Norton and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #53057) with a private practice in Santa Cruz County, providing counseling and psychotherapy for adults and adolescents.
